First Birthday Party!~

Last week was a bit of a blur, but wanted to update...we were at a first birthday party, and the birthday girl had a lot of fun with her cake!!

Big boy

How did he get so big...he doesnt look like a baby any more, and I think he's grown a lot taller also...this is what I got when I told him not to touch the air conditioner (he thinks it is neat when it is running)...he's a little poser at 15 months!  He was actually looking at the dog, not me- the dog is his best friend right now, and poor doggie gets constant attention - screams of glee and big bear hugs...dont think the feeling is quite mutual just yet...

Pool fun

Since it has been near 100 degrees every day for the last few weeks, we have practically been living in the pool, just to come close to being comfortably cool...giving you bonus pics cause I have too many favorites this time around:)

Becoming a fish

Because I keep forgetting the camera when we go blueberry picking, my little fish of a boy will have to do:)  He used to be scared of the water, but now he LOVES it, and we go swimming almost every day...

Easter egg hunt!

The little guy completely wears me out every day, so, I havent been able to take pictures like I had been...
but it is so fun to be able to do more and more things with him as he gets older and more aware...

Today, we did an easter egg hunt, they let the 2 and under crowd have a head start on the older kids, and K went right for the eggs (but he had no basket)...so, since he has two hands, he got two eggs, and was very happy with them...luckily, he still doesn't "get" candy, and was completely happy with just one tiny piece of chocolate, and we gave the rest away to a very happy 3 year old:)

Strawberry success!

Because we are going to the strawberry patch tomorrow and little guy hasnt had strawberries very often, we decided to see if he liked them today - oh my!!  Strawberry success!!

Give me food!

For the last month, a small bird has lived in our newspaper box that is right next to our mailbox and set up a nest there...about three days ago, her eggs hatched, and now we have four little baby birds in there...so cool!  Now, every time we open the mailbox, they open their mouth for food, they are very very hungry!!

Sometimes days are long and exhausting, specially when the little guy doesn't nap much...
So, we do things that most people would think are absolutely crazy - like go to the grocery store and push around a cart for an hour...and today, we did just that:)

This has been a very long week of poop, poop and more poop...today we got a wonderful 3 hour nap in, and a baby in a good mood, which made for a wonderful day - HOORAY!

Scary monster!

The little guy loves most toys, but this little stuffed toy that the dog groomer gave to him frightens him to hysterics every time he sees it - is it really that scary?!?

Today, he was smiling and happily digging through his toy box, then happened to see it...oh my goodness!!  Crying hysterical at the top of his lungs for 5 minutes...I really dont get it...but it was entertaining:)

The little guy has really figured out walking in the last few weeks, and absolutely delights in running back and forth from the laundry room to the kitchen:)

The weed

This is the craziest weed I have ever seen...it is also HUGE...it started to bloom about 3 weeks ago, and I've been waiting for the middle (main) flower to bloom this whole time...but, it never did...so, I snapped this one today as the side flowers bloomed...

The little guy passed along his stomach bug to me (silly me for telling the pediatrician that I have a stomach of steel!), so I'm not in the mood for much today...so, this picture is not great, I should have done more, but I NEEDED MY BED NOW!

Boston Bound!

We were all up at 5am (4am if you dont count the time change) so that the hubby could try again to qualify for Boston...2 hours drive later, and he was off...it was a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky - but still cool and comfortable, and he made it...qualifying was 3:15, and he got 3:12:51, HOORAY!!

Quickie Childproofing

The little guy is getting into everything, and child proofing is great and all, but screwing in everything on every cabinet takes F.O.R.E.V.E.R.  So, we found that two rubber bands works so much faster and just as well:)

Precious precious dog...

I got a dog when I moved into my first single apartment - because I knew that I wouldnt be scared if I had a dog with me, and he is the best dog in the universe - gentle and obedient and loving and sensitive and so playful...unfortunately, he is getting older - he is 14, and has gone blind and is mostly deaf, and he sleeps most of the day now...but he is still just as precious...

Doggie love...

The dogs were gone from November till March because I was a but overwhelmed with baby and doggies...now they are back, and everyone is getting along great! 

Tonight we put the dogs in the back as we went to get mail, and little guy was nearly running to get back to squeal at the dogs...the picture is dark cause it was almost 7pm and I didnt have the Speedlite with me, but I still think it is cute:)

First Birthday!

I can't believe it, the little guy is ONE YEAR OLD today...I remember last year on this day like it was yesterday - and yet, at the same time, it seems like so long ago, cause I cant imagine our life without him:)

We celebrated by going to playgroup, taking a long nap, eating a lot, and then going to the park with daddy - I cant imagine a better day!!
